Life on the Lake

Nestled among forested peaks, deep valleys, cascading waterfalls and more than 300 glaciers, Lake Chelan is located in the pristine North Cascades National Park in Washington State. A 50-mile-long lake with a maximum depth of 1,486 feet, Lake Chelan is the 3rd deepest lake in the United States and the 18th deepest in the world, making it the perfect vacation location for every water sport imaginable from the conventional to the extreme. Spend the afternoon rafting, boating, fishing, knee-boarding, water skiing or simply enjoying a good book in its calming presence.

Boating and Water Sports

Lake Chelan provides vacationers with a variety of year-round public boat launches and places to rent if you do not own a boat. Some of the most popular recreation activities on the Lake are water skiing, tubing and wakeboarding. In addition, visitors also enjoy swimming, fishing, kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving and jet skiing.

Hiking and Camping

Whether you like to spend a day hiking or a weekend camping, the surrounding Lake Chelan Valley has miles of trails that will take you through breathtaking views of the surrounding North Cascades National Park.
