What is the Lake House at Chelan?
Located in the heart of downtown Chelan with stunning lake views, The Lake House offers you a fully furnished, richly appointed residence that successfully combines the comforts of your own home with the services and amenities of a top resort for 13 weeks per year. Our Owners Services team performs all maintenance upkeep, and the highest level of personalized concierge services arranging everything from groceries to dinner reservations. All for a fraction of the price of a traditional second home.
If I purchase a unit at the Lake House, do I own real estate?
Yes! When you purchase a home in the Lake House you will receive a real estate warranty deed, which is insured by a title policy just like a traditional home purchase.
What are the benefits of fractional ownership? Is it different from a timeshare?
Each owner receives 1/4 interest in one of the Lake House's furnished homes and also an interest in the common areas. This interest can be sold, given away, or willed to relatives just like a traditional deed, and you may also accrue equity in your property as time goes on. Unlike a traditional home purchase, all maintenance and upkeep of your property is included in your annual assessments.
Will owners always stay in the same home?
Yes! Owners also enjoy the flexibility of trading weeks to fit their busy schedules. If a trade cannot be made in their residence the Owner Services team will find an equal value residence for their desired time of stay.
Can Owners reserve more than one home at the same time?
Yes! Our Use Plan allows owners to trade their weeks so that they may occupy more than one home for any week long stay in the non-peak season.
Do owners pay annual assessments?
Yes, annual fees are billed quarterly to cover the costs of administration, Owner Services, housekeeping, maintenance, reservations sales and marketing, utlities, insurance, resort improvements, and reserve account for replacement of all interior furnishings, electronics, and appliances. Most owners use rental revenue to help offset some of their cost of ownership.
